The Port of Los Angeles goes country for the “Subaru Country Freedom Festival”

Chris Janson, Cody Johnson, Adam Doleac and more heated up the harbor on Saturday, October 19th for the inaugural Subaru Country Freedom Festival. Not only did this all-day music festival bring a little country to San Pedro, California; but it honored and celebrated active duty military, vets and first responders by granting them free admission. The first-year festival was a perfect celebration of country music, American people and our freedom.

Southern California’s most die-hard country fans enjoyed two stages of live music featuring Michael Austin and Honey County, line dance tutorials, food booths galore, and an overall boot-stomping good time. After the sun set on the L.A. waterfront, Cody Johnson set the tone for the night by bringing the best of Texas country to the cool California coast, playing fan-favorites like “With You I Am,” “Ride With Me,” and “Dance Her Home.”

Then, fresh off his Real Friends album drop on October 18th, Chris Janson kept the party going with crowd sing-a-long anthems like “Good Vibes,” “Buy Me A Boat” and “Fix A Drink.” He also gave fans a taste of his new album playing the album title track, “Real Friends” and his next single, “Done.”

When all was said and done and the night was through, there was only one question on everyone’s mind: When’s the next Subaru Country Freedom Festival? Because Stars and Guitars is in for Round 2!
