The Highwomen is brand new country collective made up of Maren Morris, Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby. The Title may sound familiar as it’s a play off of an 80’s sitcom called “Designing Women” or even more familiar to long time country music fans from the male version, “The Highwaymen.” Not to be confused with either of the a fore mentioned these ladies definitely hold their own. Hard to believe it was all just a thought a few months ago. In that short time these amazing women and a few other collaborators such as (Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell, Lori McKenna, Miranda Lambert, Ray LaMontagne and more). Are working on a album produced by Dave Cobb to be released Sept 6th.
