‘Revival’ is what’s Happening in Music City

Revival at Tin Roof Demonbreun has been showcasing some of the hottest up-and-coming artists in Nashville. On Tuesday, September 29, Rob Snyder, the original creator of the showcase, hit the pew with Ashland Craft, featuring guest performances from friends Corey Wagar, Lainey Wilson, Meghan Patrick, and Kasey Tyndall.

Snyder began Revival over seven years ago, and since its inception countless singers and songwriters have graced the stage. With its signature church pew, country music lovers can hear some of Music City’s freshest talent and see the people behind some of your favorite country smashes.

As it was many of tonight’s artists’ first in-person performances since the pandemic began, Snyder sang ‘Six Feet Apart,’ a song he wrote on FaceTime during quarantine that was made famous by Luke Combs about the ongoing situation. ‘Six Feet Apart’ is undoubtedly one of the most relatable songs released about the pandemic and hearing it live was a sight to see. If you’re a sucker for Luke Combs like the rest of us, Snyder is to thank for Combs’ song ‘Dear Today’ and number one hit ‘She Got the Best of Me.’ Snyder and Craft are also part of Combs’ joint publishing venture with Jonathan Singleton, ‘50 Egg Music.’

Rising artist Ashland Craft, hailing from South Carolina, first got her start on NBC’s The Voice where she went to the Top 10 on Team Miley and has since signed to Big Loud Records in early 2020. It’s no wonder she’s earned an opening spot for major artists Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen, just to name a few. Craft’s soul-infused vocals were undeniable in Tuesday nights show where she performed a duet with Snyder and performed some unreleased new music including ‘Mimosas in the Morning’ and ‘Roots’ that were itching to be released soon.

Towards the end of the show, Corey Wagar, Lainey Wilson, Meghan Patrick and Kasey Tyndall all made guest appearances, including a performance of Wilsons’ ‘Things a Mans Oughta Know,’ which I can easily see turning into an anthem for females everywhere.

We’re happy to see a country music revival starting back up in Music City and ‘Revival’ at Tin Roof is the place to be. Straight from the pew to you, you can watch next week’s performance live on @tinroofnashville’s instagram or come watch it in person only at Tin Roof on Demonbreun every Tuesday at 6 p.m. You never know who might show up.
