The Academy of Country Music (ACM) revealed their 2020 nominees for the 55th annual ACM Awards Wednesday morning.
Topping the list of nominees is Dan Myers of Dan + Shay with 6 nominations, followed by producer Dan Huff, Maren Morris, Shay Mooney (the other half of Dan + Shay) and Thomas Rhett with 5. And Old Dominion, Blake Shelton and Justin Bieber – yup, the Biebs himself could earn an ACM Award this year – have all secured have 4 nominations each.
After being snubbed for Entertainer of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards, Carrie Underwood and Eric Church are up for the nights top prize again; along with Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and country music powerhouse, Luke Combs.
Plus, move over Reba McEntire! Keith Urban will be hosting the show this year. He took to Twitter this morning to confirm the news, and used the opportunity to drop a new song, “God Whispered Your Name.”
The Academy of Country Music Awards will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on April 5. You can watch the awards show live on at 8:00pm (ET) on CBS.
