Alcohol you later – because we’re busy at the Mitchell Tenpenny concert. It’s not often you see a country music star don a black hoodie and Jordans for a country concert, but that’s what you do when you’re playing on the cool, foggy Central Coast. Tenpenny rocked the crowds Thursday night during opening night of the annual Monterey County Fair, playing fan favorites like “Bitches,” “Goner,” and his Platinum-certified No. 1 single, “Drunk Me.” Tenpenny even took a request from a fan in the audience, playing “I Get The Picture” from his album, Telling All My Secrets. Missed the show Thursday night? No problem! He’ll be back in Northern California on Wednesday, September 18th for KRTY’s Hot Country Concert series at Club Rodeo in San Jose; his first performance at the venue where many country greats got their start.
