Jordan Rowe is “Up To Something Country” With New Release

Jordan Rowe might not be a household name in your world just yet, but soon, he might very well be. You could say that Rowe is the most recent breakout hit of South-Georgian artists with a start singing in the church. This week, he released the second song, “Up To Something Country” off his forthcoming EP, of the same name. The song itself puts to music everyone’s ideal southern weekend night in which everyone is “Up To Something Country”. The first time I heard the single, I was blown away by the pure tone of Rowe’s vocals. The ability to execute a variety of notes accurately while maintaining a genuine southern draw is a rarity these days. Fans of “new” and “old” country alike should be able to find appreciation for Rowe’s voice. Not only that, but the opening riffs gave me “Take It Easy” vibes. Very few artists can mesh the sounds of country and old school this successfully. Kudos to Rowe on that.

When I asked Jordan about his musical influences, I was anything but surprised by his response. “Some of my biggest influences are Alan Jackson and Eric Church, and I think you can hear that in my style and songwriting. I love how those two guys have stayed true to themselves and to the genre.” Furthermore, Rowe plans to do just the same – also not a surprise to anyone who has heard his performances.
