Four select dates, two guys, one hell of a Las Vegas residency.
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley recently wrapped up a short stint in Las Vegas as part of the Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour. After a successful residency in 2018, the dynamic duo extended their residency in 2019, performing on November 6, 8, 9 & 12. The two brought a little bit of Florida and a little bit of Georgia to the Las Vegas strip, performing at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theatre. From the moment ‘T-Hubb’ and ‘BK’ stepped out on stage performing their most-famous hit, “Cruise,” these guys put on one rememberable show for the Vegas crowd.
Stars and Guitars was in the audience on Saturday night, and it was a night of hit after hit from “Round Here,” “Get Your Shine On” and “Sun Daze.” But arguably, the best moment of the night came midway through the set, during the much-loved single, “Dirt.” The guys brought out a wounded military veteran on stage – a man by the name Mr. Malone, along with his service dog and family – to receive a custom all-terrain wheelchair, courtesy of FGL. Hubbard getting on the mic to explain to fans, “we’re not exactly sure what [Mr. Malone] rolled up here in. But tonight we know he’s gonna leave in a badass wheelchair that he can go hang out with his family on the beach and in the woods!” Malone then sat down in his new wheelchair, rolled to the head of the stage, and courageously stood at attention to the 7,000-person venue. The crowd erupted in cheers, chanting “USA, USA!” and in that moment, there was not a more patriotic place on the entire Las Vegas strip. A perfect way to honor our vets, on Veterans Day weekend.
Florida Georgia Line went on to finish their set with even more classics such as “May We All,” “H.O.L.Y.,” “God, Your Mama, and Me,” and their new single, “Blessings.”
The duo ended a memorable night in Sin City with a 3-song encore of “Anything Goes,” “Meant to Be” & “This Is How We Roll.”
