It’s no secret that the novel coronavirus has thrown a huge wrench in everyone’s plans for 2020. But, some country music stars are turning to a new normal in the hope that they can play their music live again for fans.
Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, announced the “Concert In Your Car” festival Tuesday morning. The 4-day event will take place June 4-7 and feature artists such as Eli Young Band, Pat Green, Whiskey Myers, Kevin Fowler and the Josh Abbott Band as headliners.
Country music fans will take over the Tundra Lot B, outside of the Arlington-based stadium, and will be able to enjoy live music from the safety and comfort of their vehicles. Tickets for each concert are priced at $40 and must be purchased in advance, and only a maximum of 400 cars can attend each show.
They say everything’s bigger in Texas; so if these shows are a success, they can be the “new normal” for country music fans until concert venues are deemed safe again.
