It’s the collaboration country music fans never knew they needed.
Colt Ford and Jimmie Allen are giving us a glimpse into the real-life country for their new song, “Back to Them Backroads.” The music video, which premiered on CMT Tuesday morning, shows the duo doing typical country things; like driving a Jeep down country roads, skeet shooting, and riding ATVs.
With lyrics like “take me back, let the time slow down” and “let that outback just cleanse my soul,” the catchy chorus serves a reminder that sometimes we need to break away from the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day and get back to our true country roots.
These two have a lot to celebrate with this new hit. It’s been a big week for Jimmie Allen, who’s single “Make Me Want To” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard charts on the same day he welcomed a baby girl with fiancée Alexis Gale.
And, while Jimmie Allen is headed to diaper duty, Colt Ford is heading out on tour. This captivating country tune serves as the title for Colt Ford’s headlining “Back to Them Backroads Tour,” kicking off in Virginia on March 5th and running through late August.
