Hosted by Keith Urban, the evening celebrated the top touring professionals in Country Music. With the touring sector being the largest category of CMA membership, the event celebrated a historic year of touring for the genre.

The evening was star-studded, as Country artists Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson and members of Old Dominion all came out to support their nominated crews. Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show Tour” crew took home the night’s highest honor, Crew of the Year, which recognizes the crew that has exemplified outstanding professionalism, skills, teamwork, hospitality, innovation and excellence in all aspects of their work while demonstrating the most heart and spirit on the road and making the biggest overall contribution to elevating Country Music.

The late Ron Baird, former agent and head of CAA’s Nashville office, was also posthumously honored with the CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Marc Dennis, agent and co-head of CAA’s Nashville office as well as Baird’s stepson, accepted the honor on behalf of Baird. The award is given to an individual who has positively impacted and contributed to the growth of touring throughout the years. It honors an individual that has proven to have an unprecedented historical impact on Country Music fans and the industry alike, and whose presence will have a long-term positive impact on Country Music and CMA for generations to come. Baird is one of only six people to have ever received this honor.

Additionally, during the ceremony, CMA unveiled its new Touring Mentorship Program. As part of the six-month program, participants will engage in monthly mentor and mentee meetings and gain access to opportunities for shadowing and projects in the field. The program comes as a result of CMA’s continued dedication to the growth and well-being of the touring community in Country and beyond.

About the CMA Touring Awards
The CMA Touring Awards, originally called the SRO (Standing Room Only) Awards, were created by the CMA Board of Directors in 1990 to honor outstanding professional achievement within the touring industry. The first awards were presented at a black-tie gala hosted by K.T. Oslin and Roger Miller during CMA’s Entertainment Expo, also known as the Talent Buyers Entertainment Marketplace. Ten awards were presented at the first gala and the number swelled to 19 over the years before settling at the current 20. The SRO Awards were renamed the CMA Touring Awards in 2016.

About the Country Music Association
Founded in 1958, CMA is the premier trade association of the Country Music industry. Representing professionals making a living in Country Music globally, the organization serves as a critical resource of support and information, honors excellence in the genre and provides a forum for industry leadership. CMA is dedicated to expanding Country Music around the world through a number of core programs and initiatives including the organization’s three annual television properties—the CMA Awards, “CMA Fest” and “CMA Country Christmas,” all of which air on ABC. The organization’s philanthropic arm, the CMA Foundation, works tirelessly to provide equitable access to music education in order to create impactful change for students and teachers across the United States

In the eighth year of hosting his annual DUSTIN LYNCH AND
FRIENDS BENEFIT CONCERT, Broken Bow Records star Dustin Lynch topped past years of fundraising efforts marking a high total last night (12/12) of $40K for three local organizations: Haven of Hope Counseling, South Jackson Performing Arts Center, and Special Olympics Tennessee.

Hosting the SOLD-OUT event at Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, TN, Lynch performed chart-toppers inspired by his hometown like 3X PLATINUM “Small Town Boy” and PLATINUM “Ridin’ Roads” (off TULLAHOMA). Songwriters Randy Montana, Brent Anderson, and Lanie Gardner joined Lynch as his special guests, with Anderson and Lynch making the live performance debut of “Blue Lights” from his recent statement-making sixth studio album, Killed The Cowboy (Broken Bow Records). Likewise, Lynch played his new single “Chevrolet (feat. Jelly Roll)” that’s Top 2 most-added at Country radio this week with 66 first-week stations nationwide. Co-produced by Zach Crowelland Ben Phillips, listen to the nostalgic dirt road rocker – written by Chase McGill, Jessi Alexander, Hunter Phelps, and Mentor Williams – here.

Country triple threat MacKenzie Porter took over Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl on Monday night (11/20) to put on her inaugural benefit concert as an ambassador for the American Cancer Society, MacKenzie Porter + Friends Present: Country vs. Cancer.

“This means so much to me,” Porter shared from the stage. “Cancer has affected my life in so many ways and I’m sure it has every single person in this room. I’ve always wanted to be involved in something like this.”

Recruiting friends and collaborators for the one-of-a-kind evening, Dustin Lynch, Nate Smith, Walker Hayes, Lily Rose, Alana Springsteen, and Madeline Merlo joined Porter on the bill, raising $85,000 for the American Cancer Society, supporting its vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

“These artists are so busy so the fact they’re here shows how much this means to all of us,” Porter continued. “Doing good, spreading love, and helping people is the reason we’re all here.”

Detailing her journey to becoming an American Cancer Society ambassador with PEOPLE ahead of the show, Porter took to the stage performing fan-favorites like “These Days” and “Pickup,” and debuting some new music from her forthcoming full-length album, like freshly released “Bet You Break My Heart,” and May-dropped heat seaker “Chasing Tornadoes.”

Supported by her all-star lineup, the guest artists serenaded the audience with their own hits including Nate Smith’s “Whiskey On You,” Alana Springsteen’s “goodbye looks good on you,” Lily Rose’s “Villain,” Walker Hayes’ “Fancy Like,” and Dustin Lynch’s “Small Town Boy.” Madeline Merlo surprised fans, popping up to make Porter’s “Chasing Tornadoes” a duet for one night only, while Porter joined in for performances of Hayes’ “Halloween” and her 2X Platinum, six-week No. 1 collaboration with Lynch “Thinking ‘Bout You.”

Wrapping the night with a milestone moment, Lynch presented Porter with a career plaque in celebration of her six No. 1 songs at Canadian country radio and seven Music Canada Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum certifications.
