Apple Launches ‘Apple Music Country’ Radio Station

Apple Music on Tuesday rebranded their Beats 1 radio station as Apple Music 1, with a new station dedicated to country music past and present called Apple Music Country. “Radio is part of the fabric of country music culture, and Apple Music Country amplifies that for the modern fan,” reads Apple’s press release. The station intends to play songs from artists past, present and future, while some hosts could play songs that were influenced by the genre, though not specifically branded as country.

Some daily hosts of these radio shows will include well known personalities in the country music world, such as Ty Bentli, Alecia Davis, Kelleigh Bannen and more. A special treat for country music fans though, is that many country music artists will also be hosting their own shows. These artists will include Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Shania Twain, Luke Combs, Kelsea Ballerini, among many others. Producers, songwriters and journalists such as Luke Laird, Jesse Frasure, Dave Cobb and Hunter Kelly will also get their time in the spotlight with weekly shows. Current subscribers to Apple Music can now listen to Apple Music Country anytime on iPhone, iPad, iPod, CarPlay, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Mac, HomePod, or the Apple Music website. If you don’t already subscribe to Apple Music, you can sign up for $9.99 a month.
