55 cities and 9 months later, Dierks Bentley officially wrapped up his 2019 Burning Man Tour on Sunday, September 8 in Wheatland, CA. Thanks to the help of Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack, and the beloved 90’s country cover band, Hot Country Knights, Dierks gave fans a memorable show from the opening song “Burning Man” to the medley closer of “Drunk on a Plane” and “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go).”
If you attended any one of the shows stretching from January to September, you may be surprised to hear that Dierks was left out of the Entertainer of the Year category for the upcoming CMA Awards. Hard to believe after attending a stop on this tour and witnessing his unparallel performance (and memorable outfit changes). Although he’s been left out of the EOTY category this year, Dierks has been nominated twice for his 18th No. 1 single, Burning Man with Brothers Osborne, and he’s locked in a nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year. So we’re saying there’s still a chance he could walk away with a shiny new piece of hardware on Wednesday, November 13.
Although he’s stayed pretty quiet about it, we would bet our soul on a six string gamble that new music is in Dierks’ future. It seems he’s on the track to released new music every two years; his latest album The Mountain was released in 2018, Black in 2016, and Riser in 2014. Here’s to more DB adventures in 2020!
