Dalton Dover, heralded as a 2023 Pandora Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music Breakthrough Artist, and a member of CMT’s prestigious LISTEN UP 2023 Class, has unveiled his latest musical endeavor, “Never Giving Up On That.” Released through Mercury Records/UMG Nashville, this eight-song collection showcases Dover’s talent, featuring two new tracks, including the soul-stirring “Dirt Roads and Jesus” and a captivating rendition of “If I Ain’t Got You.”
Reflecting on this momentous chapter in his life, Dover shares, “This period has been filled with excitement, and it means the world to me to share it with all of you. These songs have been the backdrop to so many significant moments and memories, and what better way to honor that than by bringing them together alongside some fresh additions. We’re eager to bring more new music to you soon.”
Among the standout tracks, “Dirt Roads and Jesus,” co-penned by Dover with his collaborator Matt McVaney and Alex Maxwell, stands out as a poignant ballad, expressing his profound connection to his faith. Dover introduced this song during his inaugural performance at the illustrious Grand Ole Opry, revealing that while he’s encountered adversity in his life, his faith has consistently guided him towards brighter days.
The release follows the high-energy “Night To Go,” praised by MusicRow for showcasing Dover’s prowess as a country balladeer, a storyteller, and a sentimentalist. The track also affirmed his ability to deliver a barn-burning country rocker. The reception underscored the belief that Dover is destined for stardom.
Dover’s inaugural single, “Giving Up On That,” made a resounding debut as the most-added song at Country radio and continues its ascent up the charts. The official music video, shot near Dover’s hometown in Rome, Georgia, is set to premiere on CMT, CMT Music, CMT.com, and Paramount’s Times Square Billboard on Wednesday, September 27.
His international debut took place earlier this year at the C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series, followed by a stint supporting Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour. This summer, Dover graced four stages at CMA Fest, including the Nissan Stadium Platform Stage, and headlined Luke Combs’ Whiskey Jam Bootleggers Tailgate Party at Gillette Stadium in July. Alongside festival performances, he also embarked on select dates supporting Tyler Hubbard, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore, and Priscilla Block.
