Brett Young is set to release his fourth studio album, “Across The Sheets,” on August 4. The album revolves around the theme of deep connection and features eight tracks. Young explains that the title represents the person you want to share everything with, the one you lay your head down with every night.
To celebrate the album’s release date announcement, Young recently unveiled a new song called “Back To Jesus.” The track delves into feelings of faith, forgiveness, and finding someone who unexpectedly fulfills your desires.
“Across The Sheets” is a blend of new and familiar. The album opens with Young’s latest single, “Dance With You,” a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Taylor. The album also includes re-recorded versions of one of his cherished songs from his debut album, “You Ain’t Here To Kiss Me,” and a cover of Tim McGraw’s timeless 1994 hit, “Don’t Take The Girl.”
Reflecting on his creative journey during the pandemic, Young shares that “Across The Sheets” showcases his most daring themes and lyrics yet. He takes pride in his growth as a songwriter and artist, allowing listeners to glimpse more of his life through his music. The new songs have already resonated with fans during his tour.
Young will embark on the Dance With You Tour, starting on September 14 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The tour will feature special guests Jake Scott and Griffen Palmer. Previously, Young concluded his 5, TOUR, 3, 2, 1 with a hometown show at L.A.’s legendary Greek Theatre, marking a successful run of 17 cities. Currently, he is on the road for Sam Hunt’s Summer on the Outskirts Tour with Lily Rose.
