Lil Nas X’s hit, “Old Town Road,” which features country legend Billy Ray Cyrus, has been the top song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven weeks. The rapper also performed at Boston Calling this weekend. Chase Rice, whose song “Eyes on You” hit topped the country music chart, will open the music festivities.
Steve Mayer, the chief content officer and executive vice president for the NHL, said he plans on a big showing outside City Hall Monday, with temperatures projected to be around 70 degrees and sunny.
“The place is going to go berserk, I’m pretty sure. Everybody knows the song,” Mayer said in reference to “Old Town Road.’” “The song is played in all our arenas, and the reaction to the song has been just incredible.”
