Fans have been vigorously voting for the past four weeks and tonight is finally the night to unveil the winners of the 2021 CMT Music Awards. Co-host Kane Brown leads all nominees with four for Video of the Year for ‘Worldwide Beautiful’, Male Video of the Year and Best Family Feature for ‘Worship You’ and Collaborative Video of the Year for his duet with Chris Young ‘Famous Friends’. Little Big Town, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert and co-host Kelsea Ballerini closely follow with three nominations apiece.
Nominees Maren Morris and Gabby Barrett were also set to perform during tonight’s broadcast, but both announced today that neither would be participating in the ceremony; Morris due to a “scheduling conflict” and Barrett for “personal circumstances”. However, there will still be plenty of fun performances taking place as many established stars, fresh newcomers and genre-bending collaborations are on tap for tonight.
