Luke Bryan unveiled the latest song from the deluxe edition of ‘Born Here, Live Here, Die Here’ due April 9th. The ballad, titled ‘Drink A Little Whiskey Down’, is a somber tale of how he might need a little liquid courage to drown the memory of an ex. As Bryan details, most of the time he does just fine, but every once in a while, “when the wondering if you miss me, missing you comes around” he needs something to take the edge off.
We’ve all heard the “drown your sorrows in alcohol” country song before. Nothing about this song is fresh. It’s fine and I’m sure all of Luke Bryan’s fans will eat it up, but it’s underwhelming given the previous quality in his past work. You be the judge though. Listen to ‘Drink A Little Whiskey Down’ here and let us know what you think of the song.
