Dolly Parton, Sara Evans Join Powerful Female Lineup on ‘PINK’ to Benefit Susan G. Komen

On Tuesday, Susan G. Komen released a new anthem titled ‘PINK’ in support of their ongoing mission to raise funds for breast cancer research. The track features Dolly Parton and Sara Evans, as well as pop/R&B singers Monica and Jordin Sparks, and actress-singer Rita Wilson. The piano-driven track highlights the desire for pink to be “just another color” rather than a symbol of the disease. The official music video for the song starts off in all black & white, with accents of pink throughout. As the song progresses. the video turns to color, emphasizing the hope that one day there will be an end to breast cancer. The song is reminiscent of Martina McBride’s heartfelt 2011 ballad ‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It’, which deals with the effects of breast cancer on the patients and their loved ones.
