RVSHVD releases his latest single “Dirt Road.” Being a country boy I had to listen. You can’t call yourself country if a dirt road doesn’t do something for you. Some of my fondest memories were created on a dirt road. With that being said, I love a dirt road; this song about it though, not so much. There’s a few things that just didn’t sit right with me. With the ENORMOUS success of Old Town Road you’re going to have a few crossing over trying to recreate that phenomenon. Don’t get me wrong the two artists are nothing alike. As a matter of fact, RVSHVD added elements that LIL Nas X didn’t and in my opinion, it’s taking away from the full potential of the song. As a kid who’s lived on both side of the tracks, I just can’t see you talking about trap on a country track. But don’t take my word for it.
