The 9th annual Music City Gives Back Concert

 

Last night was the 9th annual Music City Gives Back at The Ascend Amphitheater. Featuring artists: Michael Ray, Rodney Atkins, Carly Pearce, and Tyler Rich. The show benefited Nashville’s W.O. Smith School which is a school for introducing children in Nashville to musical education. Since 2011, the concert series has raised over $100,000 for the school.

Tyler Rich performed hits off his recent release of, Tyler Rich EP, such as “The Difference” and “11:11”. From Yuba City, CA, Tyler’s newest EP was released under Valory Music Co. and “The Difference” made it into the top 50 of the US charts. Carly Pearce, recently engaged to Michael Ray, performed an exhilarating set with her hit singles “Every Little Thing”, “Hide the Wine”, and “Closer to You” all of which were in the top 40 of US country charts. Tennessee local, Rodney Atkins, performed a phenomenal set with number one hits such as “If You’re Going Through Hell”, “It’s America”, and “Take a Back Road”. Coming off the recent release of his newest studio album “Caught Up in the Country” under Curb Records Atkins performed the set alongside his wife Rose Falcon. Lastly, Michael Ray headlined the concert following his recent album release from last summer “Amos” published under Atlantic Nashville with his hit “One That Got Away” and his most recent hit “Her World or Mine”. Originally from Eustis, Florida and recently engaged to singer Carly Pearce, Ray sang about his past life and how it helped him become how he is today.
