Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood and Eric Church to headline Stagecoach 2020
Giddy up and get ready for April 2020, because the Stagecoach lineup was announced Tuesday morning and WOW! Believe us when we say – best lineup to date.
Thomas Rhett kicks off opening night on Friday, April 24, with a stacked list of openers including Brett Young, Dustin Lynch and Morgan Wallen. Grab your cowboy hat from Gucci and put some Wranglers on your booty, because Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X are set to perform that night too. The ‘Old Town Road’ duo made a surprise performance at Stagecoach 2019 during Diplo’s Late Night at Palomino (which is also returning in 2020), but have secured spots on the official Stagecoach lineup this year.
There hasn’t been a female Stagecoach headliner since Shania Twain in 2017, but that’s changed thanks to Carrie Underwood. Without a doubt, Underwood has been a trailblazer for women in country music this year. Not only is she in the middle of the second leg of her Cry Pretty 360 Tour, but she’s gearing up to host the CMA Awards alongside Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, she was the only female named for CMA’s Artists of the Year, and let’s not forget that she’s a supermom on tour to 2 little boys, Isaiah and Jacob. Also – is it too early to request a surprise cameo from Ludacris for “The Champion?” Warming up the Mane Stage for the hottest female in country music are some of the greatest groups in country: Dan + Shay, Midland and LOCASH.
The festival will finish off a “Record Year” when Eric Church closes out the 3-day festival weekend on Sunday. Church, who last headlined the festival in 2016, is sure to bring a little rock n’ roll to the desert, especially with classic country openers like Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi.
We hope you have a few hundred dollars saved up, because passes for California’s Country Music Festival go on sale this Friday, October 18 at 11 a.m. PST, and you do not want to miss out. But if you can’t make it, I’m sure you’ll hear about Stagecoach on the next season of ABCs Bachelor In Paradise.
Move over Coachella, because Stagecoach is bringing the heat to Indio in 2020.
